I took this picture off the Blue Ridge Parkway just south of the Virginia border. I don't know why the orange ribbon had been tied there, but it's sun-faded hue only served to emphasize how orange the butterfly was.

(At least I reckon it was a butterfly. It could have been a moth. Where's Wade when you need him?)

One example of these structurally deficient bridges I've found in Bartow County, GA.

The Hardin Bridge spans the Etowah River west of Cartersville. Once a rural farming area, the area has grown to exurban to suburban over the past few years, as Metropolitan Atlanta sprawls further and further away from the city center.

Built in 1930 to handle obviously less traffic, the bridge is so old and worn out, it has a 3 ton weight limit, down from 12 tons. While 3 tons may seem like a lot, it's not in terms of an engineering stand point.

Yet it continues to serve more and more suburban traffic, despite the obviously dangerous condition of the bridge: note the bent rails and even a bent structural member in the photo below.

This bridge belongs as a park's historic centerpiece, not as an active part of transportation infrastructure.

While most of the 75,000+bridges labeled structurally deficient are nowhere near this unsafe, there still are plenty, like this bridge, just holding on.

And I thought 9/11 conspiracy nuts were wackos.

For those of you that don't know, chemtrails are barium/aluminum/blood/viruses/pathogen s/silica/polymers/soylent green that is sprayed by the military/a consortium of military and private aircraft/secret government agents/Elvis in a UFO to fight global warming/control peoples' minds/make them sick/kill everybody/for fun and profit.

I love the new vizualizers in the Audio portal, especially the tank one. If you didn't know, you can change the visualization and volume by clicking on it. A great track to test it out on is my Czech Rhapsody in D Minor. It's so beautiful, you won't be able to listen to the whole thing without weeping.

This new redesign rocks! I was expecting the worst, but I can honestly say this a great improvement to what was an already great site! The features I like:

· In window flash--no more pop up windows!
· New auras and levels!
· Automatic deposits!
· The user news! Edit: With [Edit] button!
· Enhanced graphics!

All in all, great job, NG staff!
